Really comfortable as well as good looking. I bought my usual size 8/39 for boots, a tiny bit long but I have a wide foot. Size 38 would be perfect for a standard or narrow foot. The boot could be worn on bare feet but I think the constant movement of leather on the shin would become annoying or painful. Oh being an ankle boot wearer with dresses, I’ll wear socks. I like the tapered fit into the leg too.
